1. Data controller
The operator of this website, Béla Csampai - www.belacsampai.com, is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy, except where a third party is clearly responsible for its own processing (for example, embedded video or 3D players, as described under third-party services).
2. Contact form
When you use the contact form, I ask for your name, email address, subject line, and message. I use this information only to read and respond to your inquiry. Depending on configuration, your message is sent through a small server-side script on my hosting (for example, PHP) or, if that path is unavailable, your device may open an email draft instead. I do not use the form to build marketing profiles, and I do not sell or rent this data.
The form includes simple technical measures to reduce automated spam (such as timing checks). A hidden field exists only to discard bot submissions; you should leave it empty.
Messages may be retained in my mail system for as long as needed to handle your request and for ordinary business, legal, or security purposes (for example, correspondence about a project or troubleshooting abuse). Technical metadata sent with email (such as timestamps or routing information) is determined by your email provider and mine.
3. Browser storage, consent, and analytics
A cookie banner lets you choose whether to allow optional, non-essential uses. Your choice is stored in browser local storage on your device (not sent to me by default). You can reopen or change this choice using Cookie settings in the site footer.
I do not currently load Google Analytics or other third-party analytics or advertising scripts on this site. If I add measurement or similar tools later, I intend to respect the same consent choice where the law requires it. Today, choosing “Accept all” does not activate additional trackers beyond what is already described on this page (for example, fonts and embedded media).
4. Third-party services and embedded content
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts (requests to Google’s servers). Google may receive technical information typical of a web request (such as IP address and user agent) according to Google’s policies.
On the Services and Projects areas, some pages embed media in iframes (for example YouTube, Sketchfab, or Vimeo). Those providers may set their own cookies or process data when you play or interact with their content. Their privacy notices apply to that processing.
5. Hosting and server logs
When you visit the site, my hosting infrastructure may automatically log technical data needed to deliver pages and maintain security (for example IP address, request time, browser type, and response status). I use this type of information only in line with normal operation and protection of the service, not for profiling visitors for marketing.
6. Legal bases (EEA / UK)
If applicable law requires a “legal basis”, I generally rely on: (a) performance of a contract or steps at your request when you contact me about services; (b) my legitimate interests in operating and securing the website and responding to inquiries, balanced against your rights; and (c) consent where I ask for it (for example, for optional storage or future non-essential scripts, if I introduce them).

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. I take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, or unauthorized access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

I may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to my practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when I publish a new version.
